Privacy Policy
BidFaster ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data You Provide
When you use BidFaster, you may provide:
- Account data — email address and password (stored as a secure hash) used to create and log into your account.
- Business data — company name, owner name, address, phone number, logo, and bank details entered in the Settings screen. This data is used solely to generate your quotes and invoices.
- Client and job data — client names, contact details, quote line items, prices, and project notes you enter into the app.
2. Data Collected Automatically
- Device token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored on our server when you log in, solely to deliver push notifications (e.g., when a client accepts a quote).
- Sync timestamps — the app records when data was last synced to enable efficient offline-first operation. No analytics or behavioural tracking is performed.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To generate PDF quotes and invoices on your device.
- To sync your data securely across devices and the web dashboard (every signed-in account).
- To send push notifications when clients interact with your quote portal.
- To authenticate you and maintain your session securely.
- On the Pro plan, to email overdue-payment reminders to your clients when you opt in.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage
All your business data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. A copy is also stored on our servers so you can sync across devices and use the web dashboard. Server data is stored in a European data centre and is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). The Pro plan does not change where data lives — it lifts the free quote limit, adds your logo and templates on PDFs, and enables optional client reminder emails.
5. Third-Party Services
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used to deliver push notifications. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — used to manage Pro subscriptions across Google Play, the App Store and the web. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase / Stripe — process Pro subscription payments. Card data is handled entirely by those providers and is not stored on our servers.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at hello@bidfaster.app. Local device data can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
7. Children's Privacy
BidFaster is intended for use by adults operating a trade or construction business. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access to your data, correction, deletion, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@bidfaster.app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of BidFaster after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
